Construction of a building is complex and time consuming to many people.
In the end its the best investment. It involves a team of people including but not limited to Architects, Structural Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Quantity Surveyors among others.
This group of people are referred to as consultants.
Generally,they are involved in the initial preparation of any construction work.
The technique of measuring quantities from drawings,sketches and specifications is prepared by designers.
Principally, the architects and engineers. Who prepare tender documents otherwise known in the industry as "taking off."
Besides these professionals, there is the contractor,who jointly with subcontractors,read and interpret all the drawings and specifications and build with attention to detail.
